Beginning again.

Welcome!

I am Nadine, and this is my 476834th blog.  Not really, but it's pretty high up there.  I've been "blogging" since middle school, but the reason I put that in quotations, is because those "blogs" came from Xanga, Tumblr, that Yahoo build your own blog thing, and the content of those blogs consisted of boy crushing, glittery pictures, non-sense hoopla.  I have decided to take another jab at it with blogspot, because my best friend Angel has inspired me to write out my thoughts and inspiration for the sake of just letting it out.  So here I am.

A little background on myself for those who don't know me, (even though I don't think this will be too public, but you never know!) My name is Nadine, and I am approaching 21 very quickly.  I am a junior in college, studying Anthropology with a heavy interest in culture. I want to continue traveling around the world, specifically in Southeast Asia, but I will go wherever the wind takes me.

So far, I have been to the Philippines (my parent's birth country), UK, Denmark, Mexico, Cambodia, and Canada. I am currently in the Philippines right now, and plan to be returning in either January or April. Potentially returning to Cambodia in March (if I have the $$) and in the summer I will be chaperoning my former high school youth choir as they travel back to the UK. The list is getting longer and longer!  (photo taken in Angkor Wat, Cambodia 2011)

I am a United Methodist, and I have been all my life.  My religion is a huge part of who I am, it has shaped my views on how to live my life, and it has been the foundation of many relationships that have come and gone throughout the years, and is something that has been the most influential aspect of the largest decisions I have made in my life.  I am in a great relationship with someone who has helped me grow into the person I am today.  He has been there for the best and worst times of my life, and it is an amazing experience to share this time with someone who loves me so much.

I also use to have an interesting internet persona, because I had a YouTube channel dedicated to clothing & fashion.  Although the channel is still there, I don't really use it anymore because my priorities are a little different now, but there are times when I want to make videos again. BUT, a big BUT, I still love styling myself, and shopping.  I feel that the way I dress is such a boost to my self confidence, because I only do it for myself.  I am a cheap shopper, that likes to splurge on some things once in a while.  ( I am planning to sell a lot of my clothes soon to help me with my traveling funds, so stay tuned )

So, get ready for some outfit of the day posts, recent purchases, & instagram overload.

Why nalovita? I have been trying to think of a title/screen name for the longest time, instead of just nadinelora/thenadinelora which were the screen names I have been using for the past couple of years, I wanted a change. I didn't want anything tacky, and I didn't want to take away my name.  Last night it just clicked, the first two letters in each part of my name, woven together. It doesn't reveal too much, and it has an interesting ring to it. Nadine Lora Villa----- Ta---.  I don't want to post the last part of my name, just because this is the internet.  But every part of my name is who I am, this is my identity and there is only one of me in the world.  So, welcome.  I am really excited to start doing this again, I feel that it is a healthy exercise for my mind, and it will be something that I will be able to look back on and appreciate.  Let's hope I stay with it! I think I will.

Bye for now!
